Since starting at Broughton Preschool a year ago, my son has come on in leaps and bounds — especially with his social and language skills. It’s such a lovely, small setting where the children, both younger and older, all get to know each other well, and the teachers are able to spend real quality time with each child.

The forest school approach has been perfect for my son — he absolutely loves spending time outdoors, and there’s plenty of space for exploring and learning through nature. Throughout the year, there have been so many fun and engaging activities for the children, from local walks to themed days, and even lovely events where families can join in, like the Easter egg hunt and sports day.

The teachers genuinely give it their all, and it really shows. My son absolutely loves it at Broughton Preschool — we couldn’t be happier!

Broughton Pre-School is an absolute hidden gem. The staff are incredibly caring and have gone above and beyond to nurture and support both of our children. Both of our children have made excellent progress here not just in their early academic development, but socially and emotionally too. They’ve formed wonderful friendships and grown in confidence, curiosity, and kindness.

The children are encouraged to learn about different cultures, explore various careers, and take part in exciting trips and excursions that broaden their horizons. The community spirit is also something really special, seasonal events at Easter, Christmas and in the summer are always a highlight and so well organised, bringing families together in celebration.

We will be so sad when our daughter moves on, she honestly couldn’t have had a better start. We’re incredibly grateful for everything the team at Broughton Pre-School  has done for our family.

We are so grateful we choose Broughton Pre school for our two boys! The staff truly go above and beyond for the children and their families, nothing is ever to much trouble and the love and care they pour in to the children shows the moment you step foot into Preschool. Our youngest child really struggled with being separated from us when he first started but the staff were incredible and showed so much love, care and patience towards him he is now thriving, and we can see he really trust the staff and runs in to Preschool with the happiest of smiles and comes home exactly the same. I honestly believe he would have never settled like this at any other nursery/Preschool and we will always in debt to the staff for everything they have done for our boys. Broughton Preschool is more than outstanding!

As parents, finding the right preschool for our daughter, Reese, was a top priority, and choosing Broughton Preschool has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The teachers and staff, especially Miss Clark, are exceptionally dedicated, nurturing, and attentive to each child’s individual needs.

Miss Clark has played such an important part in Reese’s development. Her patience, creativity, and kindness have made a significant impact on Reese, helping her to blossom both socially and academically. The curriculum, combined with Miss Clark’s engaging teaching style, keeps Reese excited to go to preschool every day. 

We are particularly impressed with the emphasis on outdoor play and exploration. I could not speak more highly of Broughton Pre-School. My son, Ethan had previously attended a well known private nursery. Moving him to Broughton Pre-School was the best thing I ever did, since moving there Ethan has really come out of his shell and developed into his personality.

With all the indoor and outdoor facilities available, they have given Ethan the tools to become more comfortable, independent and confident. He has also grown developmentally in his social, emotional, physical and literacy skills.

Broughton pre school is like a home from home for children and their parents too. It’s a place where they thrive and learn. Not only do they learn the essentials in preparation for school but they learn important life skills, how to socialise with their peers, show empathy, kindness and learn to become independent in many different tasks.

The pre school staff go above and beyond for the children and treat them with care and love as if they were their own.

My second child to go here leaves this summer and not only will he miss pre school but we as parents will also miss pre school. We can only hope that as he moves into primary school that the teachers provide the same nurturing and care the staff at pre school have provided.

They are patient, understanding and caring.

It is a pre school that isn’t based on a business model to make money but a pre school based on helping children thrive as they should.

I only wish I had found this pre school sooner for my older two children as well.

Absolutely fantastic setting. Had both of my girls here and one is still going to attend until she is of school age. Both girls loved and enjoyed it here. The staff are amazing. Broughton Pre-School is the definition of hidden gem. After a tricky start at a previous nursery, I was anxious about transitioning my son to a new setting; Broughton Pre School. I am so glad I made this decision. The staff strike a wonderful yet tricky balance between nurture and academia. I have had two of my children here at Broughton Pre- school, my oldest son is leaving for school this term and he is more than ready to be going, he has thoroughly enjoyed his time here. Harley only started pre school a few months ago, but since day one he has loved coming to pre school.
